Rome CNN —Archaeologists excavating the site of Pompeii have uncovered an ancient building site, revealing Roman construction techniques used by builders at the time, according to the Italian Ministry of Culture. The ancient Roman city of Pompeii was home to up to 20,000 people before it was destroyed in the 79 AD eruption, which was visible from more than 40 kilometers (25 miles) away. Archaeologists have found what would have been an active construction site - perhaps more accurately described as a home renovation, according to Massimo Osanna, the general director of the site, in a press statement released Monday. Mai multe zone din Grecia riscă să fie afectate de incendii de vegetație din cauza temperaturilor ridicate din ultima perioadă. În acest context, Ministerul Afacerilor Externe din România a emis o atenționare de călătorie pentru această țară, citează digi24.ro. Zonele cele mai expuse sunt: Attica, Evia (cu excepţia Skyros), Kythera, Fokida, Fthiotida, Magnisia, Larissa (Sterea şi Tesalia), Achaia, Corint, Argolida, Arkadia şi Lakonia în Peloponez, precum şi pe insula Rodos, arată un comunicat MAE citat de Agerpres. Autorităţile elene recomandă tuturor persoanelor să evite aprinderea focului în aer liber, iar în cazul în care observă un incendiu sau semnele premergătoare producerii unui astfel de dezastru, să apeleze de urgenţă serviciul de pompieri la numărul de telefon 199 şi să transmită detalii în legătură cu locaţia şi punctul exact în care se află apelantul, locaţia incendiului şi direcţia de manifestare/răspândire a acestuia, cât şi tipul de vegetaţie care arde.
